Today
is our last day her in Ottawa. Tomorrow the flight goes back to Norway. The
vacation has been absolutely fantastic. “There is no place like home” is a
famous saying. But do you know what? We feel Canada has become a second home
for us. We have practically fallen in love with the country. Not only have we done incredible activities,
but our friendship has grown stronger. It is me, Oscar who is writing this
post. I do not have words to describe how thankful I’m for this present. We
have done so much fun after we landed the 16th of November. We have
been on a Justin Bieber concert, watched a top division ice hockey match, and
learned a lot about Canada. We even got a new friend.
I
could talk for hours about all the good memories, but I have to tell something
else too, our total impression. First of all, the nature is just amazing. It is
a lot of different colours, with green trees who comes out of the snow. It was
not so difficult for us to get known with the climate, because it is pretty
similar to the Norwegian weather. Norwegians have a lot to learn regarding to behaviour.
Before we left Norway, we read that Canadians was incredibly friendly, and sure
they lived up to the expectations. Canada is also a multi-cultural country;
nothing less than 1 in every 5 Canadians is an immigrant. Actually we have some
money left yet, and it is no doubt what they should be used to; A new trip to
Canada!
