Hello
there! This blog is made by two "boys" at the age of 22 and 21, Alex and Oscar. Oscar has just turned 21 and I, Alex, decided to give him
a trip to Canada as a gift to celebrate this milestone. The trip is two weeks long, from 16-29th November. At my birthday he gave
me a car, so he deserves a memorable present. “As far as I'm concerned, I
wouldn't want to go to any other country. It's good enough here”, a man named
Orviel Kruse once described Canada.
Canada is located in North America, in the
northern part of the continent. There are countless reasons why I chose this
country. First of all, it is filled with unexpected wonders from coast to
coast. With almost 10 million square kilometers in total, Canada is the
second-largest country in the world by total area. The population is small in
comparison. A country with plenty of area and not too much people, can it get any better?
I decided that we should spend the vacation in Ottawa, the capital. I found a lot of amazing facts about the city on internet. The name Ottawa actually comes from the word adware, which means to trade. The name is no coincidence. With the highest educated workforce in Canada, Ottawa has more engineers, scientists per inhabitant than any other city in Canada. You can find well-known high tech giants as Nortel Networks and Alcatel in Ottawa. Oscar and I both study at NTNU become a civil engineers so we find these facts very interesting. In this blog you can read about our experiences in this lovely country!
